The truth is thanksgiving is a holiday immersed in a complex and controversial history. For many Native American and Indigenous people communities, Thanksgiving is a reminder of the painful chapters of colonization, displacement, and cultural erasure. In this episode I discuss the holiday, one of its origins and the truth behind its beginnings.
