Over the last decade, the U.S. Military has struggled to recruit new personnel to join its ranks. Younger and even older U.S. citizens are opting not join the military. This has created a much smaller pool to recruit from and has left the military scrambling to fill in the gaps. One method that has recently been reinstated is to recruit documented immigrants to join the military in exchange of citizenship. In this episode I discuss the recruitment challenges that all branches of the U.S. military is experiencing, the various methods they are employing and how immigrants are being utilized to address this issue.
