Description

In a country built upon the ideals of freedom and opportunity, a disheartening truth remains largely underreported - undocumented immigrants in the United States are restricted from obtaining driver's licenses. As they strive to make a living and contribute to society, these individuals face countless obstacles, with the inability to obtain a license being a significant burden. With only 19 states currently allowing undocumented immigrants to legally acquire a driver's license, others are left grappling with the possibility of being ticketed, fined, or even incarcerated for a minor traffic offense. This untenable situation not only puts the safety of these individuals at risk but also stifles their economic prospects and restricts their overall quality of life. In this episode I discuss this issue and what can be done to address it.
