Marcus “Same Ol G” Green was born in Quincy, FL to Bishop Willie C. And Lady Diane Green. As a child, Same Ol G
always loved music. Studying the greats like 2Pac and Jay-Z, it was apparent that in due time his love for music would take over. It happened at a Christmas party, Same Ol G was free-styling with the family and friends; a hot producer heard him and invited him come by the studio. After that studio session the rest was history as Same Ol G started doing shows in the SouthEast. In Aug 2013, Marcus "Same Ol G" Green gave his life to Christ and decided to live for God after a life changing experience. In January of 2014, Marcus "Same Ol G" Green was called to preach by God. In March 2014, Same Ol G performed his initial sermon. Same Ol G was officially ordained as an elder in COGIC in August of 2015 and selected as the state youth president for the Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Florida Northwest COGIC. God had given Same Ol G a new testimony, message, and the gift of gospel rap to reach this new generation as well as close the gap with the older generation. "Same Ol G" is very passionate about spreading the good news of God and helping others understand Him better. Same ol G just wants to see more good in this cruel evil world. On June 27, 2018, Marcus "Same Ol G" Green's song "Take Over" was selected and debuted for Heaven 98.3 (Cumulus Broadcasting) Local Artist Spotlight in Tallahassee, FL. "Take Over" has since premiered on other radio stations across the country
