Description

In episode 7 of X’s & O’s Dei Lynam and Coach Lynam set the table for what many hope is a competitive Eastern Conference Semifinal series between the Heat and the Sixers. Joel Embiid did not make the trip to South Beach and has been ruled out for games one and two. Miami’s Kyle Lowry is out for game one with a hamstring injury.

4:10 Coach discusses the various lineups Doc Rivers will use, including the pluses of starting Paul Reed on Bam Adebayo, and later playing small ball with Tobias Harris at the five.

9:01 A discussion of what the Sixers can expect/need from Matisse Thybulle. Can Thybulle return to the chaotic high level defender he was in the regular season? The coach believes Thybulle’s confidence took a severe hit in the first round and shares how the third year player can snap out of his current funk.

16:00 “If Jimmy Butler averages 30 points as he did in the first round, it will be very difficult for the Sixers to win the series.” Coach Lynam proceeds to share how the team can keep that from happening.

19:44 Analyzing game one between the Bucks and Celtics. “Jason Tatum was not the Lone Ranger out there struggling to make shots.”

22: 30 Why Coach Lynam almost turned off his TV watching game one of the Warriors vs Grizzlies series.
