The wrestling promoter and father of Vince McMahon (known as Vince Jr. to differentiate him from the elder McMahon) is best known for running the Capitol Wrestling Corporation, later renamed the World Wide Wrestling Federation and then the World Wrestling Federation from 1953 to 1982.
