Who is Dr. George Maurer?
Dr. Maurer is an award-winning broadcast journalist with more than 35 years of experience. He's a retired Air Force Master Sergeant who deployed to Iraq during the Global War on Terrorism. He also served in the Pentagon Press Briefing Room alongside all major news organizations. He's interviewed top defense officials such as Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen, as well as rock stars like Sammy Hagar and Pat Benatar. During his career, he covered a wide range of major events, such as the first military tribunals of enemy combatants at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and Super Bowl XLII.
