Bradley Robert Dawson (often reported as “Brad Dawson”) was a 40-year-old man from Memphis, Tennessee, working in information technology for a nonprofit organization. In July 2022, shortly after marrying pharmacist Christe Chen (36), the couple traveled to Fiji for their honeymoon and checked into the exclusive Turtle Island Resort. Two days after their arrival, Chen was found dead in their private bungalow with multiple blunt-trauma wounds to her head. Dawson fled the scene by kayak and was captured the next day at a nearby village carrying his passport and personal belongings.
