For the second time in less than a week, an Ohio State team had the No. 1 team in the nation on the ropes, but wasn't able to close the deal.

Thursday night in Columbus, Chris Holtmann's OSU men's basketball team jumped out to a big first-half lead, played brilliantly without injured forward Zed Key, but ultimately came up just short against the top-ranked Purdue Boilermakers.
