It's 2018 and Emma Cumming (as she was then) has the track cycling world at her feet. She ends the Commowealth Games with a silver and bronze medal and as the fourth-ranked Women's Team Sprint combination in the world! Everything was going to plan. Until it wasn't.

Five years later she hangs up her cycling career having battled injury demons that ultimately took away one of the south's most promising sporting careers just as it seemed ready to flourish.

In a raw, unfiltered and honest conversation, Emma joins The Roar to tell us her story. It's one of resilience, of dealing with what might have been and of embracing new opportunity.

Before then, Logan, Nathan and Nick look at the big Southland sporting stories including the newly-named Stags' assistant coaches, Southland's increased Super rugby precense and another week of Jacob Duffy winning cricket games for the Black Caps.
