At the age of 25, Billy Jensen found himself grieving his father’s death while simultaneously celebrating the birth of his daughter. Shortly before that, his first feature story was published, and he decided to leave professional roller hockey to explore writing. He worked as a listings assistant and was promoted to listings editor while also reporting for the New York Times on weekends. He has built career as a crime writer and investigative journalist.
