Do y'all remember when I talked to y'all about a group of nomads? I think they were in the Mojave desert. If not, we'll say it's the Mojave desert! They wanted some guys to take them through the desert and they were in a hurry. They were in a big hurry. They wanted to get to the other side. They didn't want to take their time. At one point, the guides just stopped in the middle of their trek, and they said" are you doing? The guide said we're moving too fast. We're getting ahead of the spirit. We're getting ahead of God's spirit and we are gonna stop and wait for it. We're gonna stop and let it catch up to us.
I think that's what some of us need to do sometimes. Sometimes maybe it takes a sewer back up or even, in some cases, death or sickness or something to slow life down to slow it to its essence. Because sometimes we're just filling it up with muck. Filling it with stuff that doesn't even really matter. It's not that important. We're just filling it up for the sake of filling it up. I don't wanna do that anymore. I think I really learned that after Hugh passed away. I learned that when I got covid, and when covid kind of took over the world and I'm learning it today. There's no hurry that we need to be in. When I used to be that way, I just made a lot of mistakes. I made a lot of bad choices and I don't wanna be that way anymore. I want to be that flower that opens slowly to the sun.
