Description

In the 1970s, in Pocatello, Idaho, a close-knit and pious family, the Brobergs, befriended another church-going family, the Berchtolds, whose patriarch, Robert, was a man who came to be known to everyone as simply "B." The Brobergs and the Berchtolds spent a lot of their time with one another; their kids would play together and there were holidays and vacations. Until many noticed that B was taking an unhealthy interest in the Broberg's oldest daughter, Jan, who was only 11 years old at the time. In the fall of 1974, B suggested taking Jan horseback riding after school, and this seemingly innocuous and friendly offer turned into a literal nightmare for the Brobergs that would span the next three decades. What would transpire was a case of obsession, misdirected affection, infatuation, diabolical manipulation and seduction that included three of the five unsuspecting Brobergs, and a little girl who was kidnapped not once, but twice, by a trusted family friend. Show notes: https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/1971782.Stolen_Innocencehttps://www.netflix.com/title/81000864
