Marilyn Salgado is the founder & CEO of Building Yourself Life Coaching & owner of La Cayin online boutique. She focuses on empowering women of color to find their voice, discover their purpose and unleash their confidence. Born and raised in Boston, MA, Marilyn grew up around the "old school" mindset with Puerto Rican women who were siloed. At the age of 16, she became a mom and by 30, she was married and divorced. A survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault, Marilyn began her soul healing.
Marilyn's platform is empowering women of color. Her life coaching business provides a safe space where women of color receive support, mentorship and resources to uplift and motivate them to be self-sufficient & aligned with their purpose. She also has an online boutique that features items that will empower women, from T-shirts with empowering quotes, to everyday business essentials catered to the business woman.
Marilyn has over 20 years of experience in life coaching. She has done 1:1 coaching with private clients, as well as motivational speaking for middle schoolers and teenage moms. She has created and facilitated programs, workshops and focus groups for young moms and has been nationally recognized.
