John 12:34 The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law that the Messiah will remain forever, so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”
1. HE WAS A MAN WITH A MISSION
Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
2. HE WAS A MAN WITH A FUTURE
Daniel 7:13-14 In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
Mark 14:61-62 But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”
“I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
Matthew 25:31 When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all
the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.
Acts 7:56 “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man
standing at the right hand of God.”
