LISTEN | Morning Prayer - MONDAY, 07 August 2023 | Eighteenth Week in Ordinary Time
"He looked up to heaven, and blessed, and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds." - Matthew 14:19
Do you have your own meaningful encounter with Jesus?
Today we see a totally different kind of behavior in Jesus when he receives news about the death of John. He withdraws to a lonely place, but the crowd won't accept it and they follow Him. There are moments in our lives when Jesus seems to hide from us. He is just nowhere to be found. So there are times when even we feel desperate and hopeless like the crowd to find Jesus. Each of us must have had an experience with Jesus to have that fire within us. May that longing to be with Christ continue to dwell in our hearts.
