LISTEN | Morning Prayer - May 18, 2023 | Thursday of the Sixth Week of Easter "A little while and you will no longer see me, and again a little while later and you will se me." - John 16:16
God has destined us for eternal life. Everything we experience in our earthly life will come to pass. All things are small compared to the greater reality that awaits those who believe. The disciples grieved when they lost Jesus to a brutal death, but their sorrow turned to joy when they saw the Risen Lord - a joy that no one can take away from them. The same joy awaits us. As Easter people, let us continue to find hope in our daily struggle to be faithful and encounter the Risen Lord anew, strengthening us in our journey towards Him. Join the universal Church in praying the Office of Lauds, wherever you are.
