LISTEN | Morning Prayer - May 10, 2023 | Wednesday of the Fifth Week of Easter "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit." - John 15:1-2
Pruning is an essential part of our intimate union with Jesus. This ensures that the branch, once trimmed and removed of all the elements that hinder its productivity, will bear abundant fruit. As friends of Christ, let us allow the words of Jesus to remove away anything that hinder us from being fruitful. When we trust Him and the process, we will realize how necessary the pruning seasons are in our life of faith and fruitfulness. Join the universal Church in praying the Office of Lauds, wherever you are.
