Usha Tummala-Narra, Ph.D. is Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling, Developmental and Educational Psychology at Boston College as well as in Independent Practice in Cambridge, MA.
She has presented nationally and published peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters on the topics of immigration, trauma, cultural competence and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Usha has served as the chair of the Multicultural Concerns Committee (http://www.apadivisions.org/division-39/leadership/committees/multicultural/index.aspx) for Division 39 (Psychoanalysis), as a member of the Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs (http://www.apa.org/pi/oema/committee/) (CEMA) in the American Psychological Association, and as a member of the APA Presidential Task Force on Immigration (http://www.apa.org/about/division/officers/dialogue/2012/04/immigration-report.aspx).
