Listen

Description

Welcome back to your "Winning Word Of The Day" segment. Today's episode is titled "When God Seems Quiet." Do you ever experience moments when it feels like God is silent? Perhaps you find yourself searching for His presence, His voice, or His guidance but come up empty-handed. Whether you've been walking with God for years or are just beginning to seek Him, there are times when His silence can feel deafening.

In the story of Elijah from 1 Kings, we find a powerful reminder that God's presence isn't always found in the loud and spectacular. Despite Elijah's fear and desperation, God didn't manifest Himself in the wind, earthquake, or fire. Instead, He spoke in a gentle whisper, drawing Elijah closer. This story illustrates that in moments of perceived silence, God may be inviting us to draw near and listen closely. When God feels distant, it's often because our focus has shifted, and we've grown distracted or misplaced our priorities. However, by intentionally repositioning our hearts and drawing near to God, we create space to hear His whisper and experience His presence anew. So, if you're feeling like God is quiet or far away, remember that it might be an invitation to draw closer. Lean in, listen attentively, and trust that as you seek Him, He will draw near to you.
