We are in November and next month is December which leads to Christmas. This means there will be Christmas related events and get-togethers etc taking place in December.
There are still many people in this country who identify themselves as Christians and organize or participate in such events or get-togethers on religious basis. On the other hand, there will be many people who have Christian background but they themselves have lost touch with Christianity (for whatever reason), so they organize or participate in such events or get-togethers as a custom or tradition and some care only about partying.
Many of us (Muslims) will get invited to these events / get-togethers or we might know people who are organizing or participating in such events… therefore we should lookout for opportunities (or create opportunities where possible) and initiate discussions and share the teachings of Islam with our friends, colleagues, neighbours, classmates and relatives Insha Allah. A Muslim who is a convert (or whose spouse is a convert to Islam) will have many non-Muslim relatives. *So dear Muslims, let us prepare ourselves and be ready to fulfil the obligation of conveying the message of Islam to non-Muslims.*
These khutbahs are based on a lecture titled ‘3 Prophets 1 Message’ by Br. Abdul Raheem Green from UK which he delivered in Australia over 20 years ago. May Allah reward him immensely.
