One way to look at the situation of the Muslim Ummah (i.e. the downfall of Muslims ending with the demolition of the Khilafah) is to blame the non-Muslims – look how these non-Muslims, these evil people, how they fooled us, how they divided us and so on.
Other way is to blame ourselves! And ask – why did we get fooled? When the British sent their spy to the Arabs, why didn’t the Arabs plan and plot along with the Turks and make a fool of the British? Similarly, why didn’t Ata Turk plan and plot along with the Arabs and make a fool of the non-Muslims. But they didn’t, which means these Muslims consciously chose to do what they did.
Why am I saying all this? Because we need to learn lessons from past and not repeat the mistakes going forward, otherwise our situation is not going to change.
