Fr: L'air était frais en cette matinée d'automne dans la forêt des Ardennes.
En: The air was fresh on this autumn morning in the forêt des Ardennes.
Fr: Les arbres s'étendaient à perte de vue, leurs feuilles rouges et dorées dansant au gré du vent.
En: The trees stretched as far as the eye could see, their red and golden leaves dancing in the wind.
Fr: Lucien et Sabine marchaient côte à côte, leurs pas crissant sur le tapis de feuilles mortes.
En: Lucien and Sabine walked side by side, their steps crunching on the carpet of dead leaves.
Fr: Lucien était concentré.
En: Lucien was focused.
Fr: Il tenait une vieille carte à la main, donnée par leur défunt grand-père.
En: He held an old map in his hand, given by their late grandfather.
Fr: Il espérait sincèrement retrouver ce précieux héritage de famille.
En: He sincerely hoped to find this precious family heirloom.
Fr: Sabine, plus jeune et plus intrépide, sautillait de pierre en pierre, observant les écureuils et écoutant les oiseaux chanter.

Fr: « Tu te souviens, Sabine, de nos jeux dans le jardin de grand-père ?

En: Lucien asked.
Fr: Sabine rit, se rappelant leurs fous rires et leurs aventures imaginaires.
En: Sabine laughed, recalling their fits of laughter and imaginary adventures.
Fr: « Oui, je me souviens.
En: "Yes, I remember.
Fr: Tu étais toujours si sérieux, mais c'était amusant !
En: You were always so serious, but it was fun!"
Fr: » Leurs souvenirs semblaient les transporter dans un autre temps.
En: Their memories seemed to transport them to another time.
Fr: Mais rapidement, la réalité de leur quête reprit le dessus.

Fr: La forêt était dense, les chemins difficiles et parfois, Lucien s'agaçait des détours imprévus de sa sœur.

Fr: Mais il savait que sa vivacité pouvait aussi être une alliée précieuse.

Fr: Tout à coup, un vent violent se leva, secouant les branches.

Fr: Un craquement retentit, une branche énorme s'abattit juste à côté d'eux.

Fr: Le cœur battant, ils se précipitèrent hors de danger.

Fr: Ce jour-là, ils comprirent que leur lien était aussi un héritage précieux de leur grand-père, tout autant que l'objet retrouvé.
