En: Krzysztof woke up early.
Pl: Leżał w łóżku i patrzył na sufit.
En: He lay in bed and looked at the ceiling.
Pl: Ostatni dzień lata przeminął cicho.
En: The last day of summer passed quietly.
Pl: Już jutro miał iść do nowej szkoły.
En: Tomorrow he was to go to a new school.
Pl: Był to czas pełen niepokoju, a myśli o pierwszym dniu nie pozwalały mu zasnąć.
En: It was a time full of anxiety, and the thoughts of the first day wouldn't let him sleep.
