This week, Jackie and Kyle flex their movie critic skills on the fan-requested film, Silver Linings Playbook. Even with Kyle feeling tired about the sexualization of babies (thanks weird midwesterners) and Jackie being tired of Producer Justin AKA partners who fall asleep during movies, these two tired therapists bring you a critical review of the award-nominated 2012 dramatic comedy starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. This movie follows the life of Pat and Tiffany, both struggling with their mental health after tragic losses.
In this episode, we’ll discuss dynamics, diagnoses, therapy, medication, boundaries, mental health metaphors, Bradley Cooper’s neckbeard, and (surprisingly) parenting. End it all with a lovely round of Would You Rather: Movie Edition (kind of) and you’ve got yourself another titillating episode of Two Tired Therapists.
