- The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, delivered a speech to the European Union. He stated that Ukraine should become a member of the European Union, and argued that the EU would not be whole without Ukraine as an integral part of it.
- The White House argues that the Chinese military is likely conducting a large-scale aerial espionage program, using high-altitude surveillance balloons similar to the one that the United States shot down over the Atlantic Ocean coast last weekend. The program has targeted more than 40 countries across five.
