Can you trust anything you hear coming from the US media and the US state department these days? Is there really going to be a violent assimilation of Taiwan by the Chinese Mainland? Well if there is somebody should tell the Taiwanese cuz they have no idea that it's coming. The history of Taiwan and it's true identity as a people is not being shared by any party in the debate. Even a steam sources like the Council on Foreign Relations office skate and pollute the information stream to make it unintelligible. Taiwan has always been an independent entity except for 50 years of Japanese rule from 1895 to 1945.
