Description

“What is in the soul of the night?
What is out beyond our sight?
How will we go?
How will we die?

How will we let go of the light?
All that our ancestors held tight?
How will we grow?
How will we die

Fire is at our core
Echoing sun’s flaming roar
And we are here,
Held and warm.

And somewhere, beyond, there is ice,
Floating in dark of night,
How will we go?
How will we die?

We who are in love with life
We will come to honor death,
In time.

Cells fall apart and recombine.
Soils of death nourish life
In time.

What is in the soul of the night?
What is out beyond our sight?”
