Matthew 28 is the final chapter in the Gospel of Matthew and details the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It recounts how Mary Magdalene and another woman went to Jesus' tomb, only to find it empty. An angel then appeared to them, telling them that Jesus had risen from the dead. The women relayed this message to the disciples, who then had their own encounter with Jesus. He gave them the Great Commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel, baptizing people in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
