The "Deaf President Now!" documentary is co-directed by Nyle DiMarco and Davis Guggenheim. Nyle DiMarco, a Deaf activist and Gallaudet University alumnus, is also a first-time director. Davis Guggenheim is an Oscar-winning filmmaker. The film explores the 1988 protest at Gallaudet University led by four students who demanded a Deaf president.
