Alex McWalters holds an MFA in Fiction from Warren Wilson College and plays percussion for River Whyless, a folk-rock quartet based in Asheville. He teaches Creative Writing at UNC-Asheville and has served as the Warren Wilson MFA Residency Fellow since 2020.
