Carrie joins Jay to discuss the recent Netflix exclusive film, #DeathNote. The story follows Light Turner (Nat Wolff), a high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook that has the power to kill whoever has their name written within. He soon partners with the true owner of the notebook, a shinigami named #Ryuk (Willem Dafoe), and begins to enact justice on the world under the guise of "Kira." Light must contend with the brilliant detective known only as L (Lakeith Stanfield), who seeks to expose Light as Kira. Based on the 2003 manga of the same name, Netflix's Death Note provides a wildly different look at the base story underneath. But is it a good enough film to watch? Budget: $40 Million
