Spike Lee revisits his famous drama/comedy 1986 film, She's Gotta Have It, but this time as a TV series that is updated for a new era and available as a Netflix Original Series. The general story is the same, but with needed tweaks to bring the series on Black polyamory into 2017. The series still follows Nola Darling, a "single" Black woman who has open sexual relationships with three men that are wildly different in personality. They reflect aspects of herself in archetypical ways. Whether the carefree/immature side, the stability of adulthood, or the worldly overachiever, the three men work as a vessel for Nola's best and worst qualities.
