Good morning, weather watchers! This is your Chicago weather report for Washington's Birthday weekend.

Bundle up, folks, because we're diving into a deep freeze that'll make even polar bears want to grab an extra blanket! Right now, we're looking at temperatures that are more "arctic adventure" than "pleasant stroll".

Overnight, we're expecting mostly clear skies with temperatures plummeting to around 5 degrees Fahrenheit. But here's the kicker - wind chill values will feel like negative 11 degrees. Those west northwest winds are going to be whipping around at about 15 miles per hour, with gusts up to 25 miles per hour. It's the kind of cold that'll make you want to hibernate!

Moving into Washington's Birthday, expect increasing clouds and a high of a mere 12 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill values will dip to negative 13 degrees. Those west winds will continue to dance around at 15 miles per hour with gusts up to 25 miles per hour.

Monday night brings partly cloudy skies and temperatures dropping to around zero degrees Fahrenheit. Tuesday looks mostly sunny but frigid, with a high near 13 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mid-week, we've got a 30 percent chance of snow on Wednesday, mainly after noon. Temperatures will slowly climb, with Thursday reaching a balmy 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

The weekend looks more promising, with temperatures climbing to near 29 degrees Fahrenheit on Saturday and reaching 36 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday. It's like Mother Nature is slowly remembering how to turn up the thermostat!
