Here's the weather report script:

Good morning, weather watchers! Let's dive into our forecast for the Chicago area.

Overnight, we're looking at a rainy situation with some patchy fog rolling in. Temperatures will hover around a mild 42 degrees Fahrenheit, with east northeast winds gusting up to 15 miles per hour. Expect a bit of moisture, but nothing too dramatic - less than a tenth of an inch of rain.

Sunday is going to be a wet one, folks! Rain is pretty much guaranteed with a high near 44 degrees Fahrenheit. Those winds are going to get a bit spicy, blowing from east northeast to north northwest and potentially gusting up to 30 miles per hour. We're talking about three quarters to a full inch of precipitation, so keep those umbrellas handy.

As we roll into the week, things are going to cool down. Monday will be partly sunny with a high of 43 degrees Fahrenheit, and Tuesday brings a 50 percent chance of rain with a high of 41 degrees Fahrenheit.

New Year's Day looks crisp and cool with a high of just 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Later in the week, we're looking at mostly sunny days with temperatures in the mid twenties and clear, cold nights.

Pro tip: Layer up and stay prepared for those quick-changing winter conditions!
