Description

Kevin starts the episode by discussing the news of Carlos Correra hiring Scott Boras as his agent and what this means when baseball finally returns. The reports are that Correra is looking for a 10 year $330-$350 million contract. There are only about 3-5 teams who have the financial ability to hand out a contract this large. Kevin then breaks down the release of the preseason top 25 for College Baseball. The Texas Longhorns are ranked #1 for the first time in the history of the division1baseball.com poll. The SEC then reigns supreme with teams #2-#5 all coming from the conference. Arkansas had a tough break with their Ace starting pitcher go down with Tommy John this preseason. Kevin wraps up the show talking about an update on the automated strike zone. The news that the Atlantic League will no longer use the technology is misleading because there are current job postings in 11 current Triple-A cities for technicians who work with the technology. Is this going to eventually make its way to MLB? If you enjoyed this episode, follow us and subscribe to the show: you can find us on iTunes or on any app that carries podcasts as well as on YouTube.
