Cs: Jasné podzimní ráno probouzí Prahu do nového dne.
En: A clear autumn morning awakens Praha to a new day.
Cs: Slunce tančí po hladině řeky Vltavy, zatímco vítr šustí zlatými a červenými listy.
En: The sun dances across the surface of the Vltava River, while the wind rustles the golden and red leaves.
Cs: Gondoliér Jiří usazuje první cestující na svůj člun.
En: Gondolier Jiří seats his first passengers on his boat.
Cs: Každodenní úkol, vždy stejný.
En: An everyday task, always the same.
Cs: Přesto dnes cítí změnu.
En: Yet today, he senses a change.
Cs: Dnes je jiný.
En: Today is different.
Cs: V davu turistů zahlédne mladou ženu, která se rozhlíží kolem s očima plnými očekávání.
En: In the crowd of tourists, he spots a young woman looking around with eyes full of anticipation.
Cs: Lenka přiletěla do Prahy teprve včera.
En: Lenka arrived in Praha just yesterday.
Cs: Jestliže hledá něco výjimečného, je to dnes.
En: If she is searching for something extraordinary, it's today.
Cs: Hledá inspiraci.
En: She's looking for inspiration.
Cs: Je zahlcená davy a turistickými atrakcemi, ale doufá, že během této plavby najde něco, co žádný průvodce nenabídne.
En: She's overwhelmed by the crowds and tourist attractions, but she hopes that during this boat ride she will find something not offered by any guidebook.
Cs: Jiří vítá ostatní pasažéry, ale očima sleduje Lenku.
En: Jiří welcomes the other passengers, but his eyes follow Lenka.
Cs: Když všichni sedí, pomalu odráží loď od břehu.
En: When everyone is seated, he slowly pushes the boat away from the shore.
Cs: Jeho hlas je zpočátku zaujatý obvyklými historkami o Karlově mostě a Hradčanech.
En: His voice is initially preoccupied with the usual stories about Karlův most and Hradčany.
Cs: Ale dnes to nestačí.
En: But today, that's not enough.
Cs: Z ničeho nic se rozhodne pro změnu.
En: Out of nowhere, he decides to make a change.
Cs: "Víte, Praha má mnoho tajemství," osloví Lenku přímo.
En: "You know, Praha has many secrets," he addresses Lenka directly.
Cs: "Chcete slyšet neobvyklou legendu?"
En: "Would you like to hear an unusual legend?"
Cs: Lenka se překvapeně usměje.
En: Lenka smiles, surprised.
Cs: "Ano, chci.
En: "Yes, I would.
Cs: Co mi prozradíte?"
En: What will you tell me?"
Cs: Jiří ukáže směrem k nenápadné stavbě u břehu.
En: Jiří gestures toward an inconspicuous building on the shore.
Cs: "Tam, u starého mlýna, žila kdysi dívka jménem Anička.
En: "There, by the old mill, once lived a girl named Anička.
Cs: Říká se, že měla srdce jako zlato.
En: It is said she had a heart of gold.
Cs: Pomáhala chudým, kteří pracovali ve mlýně.
En: She helped the poor who worked at the mill.
Cs: Jednou v zimě, když byl mlýn na pokraji bankrotu, přišel do Prahy bohatý obchodník.
En: One winter, when the mill was on the brink of bankruptcy, a wealthy merchant came to Praha.
Cs: Anička ho zachránila před nehodou na hladké ledu.
En: Anička saved him from an accident on the slick ice.
Cs: Jako poděkování jí daroval tolik mouky, že zachránila celé město před hladomorem."
En: As a thank you, he gave her enough flour to save the entire town from famine."
Cs: Lenka naslouchá se zatajeným dechem.
En: Lenka listens, breathless.
Cs: Toto je autentické, tohle chce.
En: This is authentic; this is what she wants.
Cs: Loď klidně klouže po vodě a Jiří pokračuje.
En: The boat glides smoothly over the water, and Jiří continues.
Cs: Promlouvají o dřívějších leskných dnech, minulosti skryté v hloubce městské šedi.
En: They talk about the city's lustrous days of yore, a past hidden in the depths of urban grayness.
Cs: Lenka pokládá otázky, touží znát detaily.
En: Lenka asks questions, eager for details.
Cs: Když míjejí malou sochu, Jiří se zastaví.
En: As they pass a small statue, Jiří pauses.
Cs: "Tady se říká, že přání při západu slunce splní."
En: "Here, it's said that wishes come true at sunset."
Cs: Lenka se zastaví, zamyslí.
En: Lenka stops to think.
Cs: Pak řekne, "Přeji si napsat knihu o tomto městě.
En: Then she says, "I wish to write a book about this city.
Cs: Ale ne obyčejnou.
En: But not an ordinary one.
Cs: O lidech, o tobě, o Aničce."
En: About the people, about you, about Anička."
Cs: Na konci cesty je cítit něco nového.
En: By the end of the journey, something new is felt.
Cs: Jiří se rozhodne, že některé příběhy bude vyprávět pokaždé nově, aby každý nalezl něco osobního.
En: Jiří decides that he will tell some stories anew each time so that everyone can find something personal.
Cs: Lenka pokládá notýsek do kapsy, plná nápadů.
En: Lenka puts her notebook in her pocket, full of ideas.
Cs: Vltava šumí dál a s ní i pocit, že někdy je třeba jen pohlédnout nově.
En: The Vltava murmurs on and with it the feeling that sometimes you just need to look anew.
Cs: Dva cizinci v cizím městě našli v sobě to, co hledali.
En: Two strangers in a foreign city found in each other what they were looking for.
Cs: A tak Jiří každý den nalézá radost v poznávání těm, kteří otevřou srdce.
En: And so Jiří finds joy in unveiling the city to those who open their hearts.
Cs: A Lenka zapisuje své příběhy, aby Praha neztrácela svou magii ani v jejích vzpomínkách.
En: And Lenka writes her stories so that Praha doesn’t lose its magic, not even in her memories.
