Cs: V pražské Staroměstské náměstí byla sobota odpoledne.
En: It was Saturday afternoon at Staroměstské náměstí in Prague.
Cs: Obloha byla zatažená a vzduch byl chladný, jak se dalo od podzimu čekat.
En: The sky was overcast, and the air was chilly, as one might expect in autumn.
Cs: Na náměstí se to hemžilo lidmi slavícími Halloween.
En: The square was bustling with people celebrating Halloween.
Cs: Voněly pečené kaštany a ze stánků zněly smíchy dětí, ozývaly se písně a všude se linul vůně dýní.
En: The aroma of roasted chestnuts filled the air, along with the laughter of children from the stalls; songs were heard, and the scent of pumpkins wafted everywhere.
