Cs: Na střední škole v Praze, v období, kdy spadané podzimní listí šustí pod nohama a vzduch je plný svěží vůně, se začal šířit tajemný příběh.
En: At a high school in Praha, during the time when the fallen autumn leaves rustle underfoot and the air is filled with a fresh aroma, a mysterious story began to spread.
Cs: Všichni studenti mluvili o zmizení cenné historické knihy z již tak starobylé a trochu strašidelné školní knihovny.
En: All the students were talking about the disappearance of a valuable historical book from the already ancient and somewhat spooky school library.
Cs: Jarek, inteligentní kluk s velkou vášni pro historii, slyšel o ztrátě knihy.
En: Jarek, an intelligent boy with a great passion for history, heard about the book's loss.
Cs: Cítil, že to je jeho šance.
En: He felt it was his chance.
Cs: Toužil po uznání od svých spolužáků.

Cs: Jejich strategie se střetávaly, ale jejich cíl byl stejný.

Cs: Jednoho deštivého dne, kdy se světla v chodbách školy rozsvěcela dříve kvůli tmě za okny, se Jarek rozhodl jednat.
En: One rainy day, when the lights in the school corridors were turned on earlier due to the darkness outside, Jarek decided to act.
Cs: Rozhodl se hledat v místě, na které každý zapomínal – ve starém sklepě pod školou.
En: He decided to search in a place everyone forgot - the old cellar under the school.
Cs: Zuzana, přestože pochybovala o Jarkově metodě, se rozhodla připojit.

Cs: „Musíme pracovat společně, i když mám jiné nápady,“ přiznala.

Cs: V temném sklepě, plném starého nábytku a zapomenutých věcí, objevil Jarek knihu skrývající se za polámaným prknem.

Cs: V tom okamžiku je přerušil školník, pan Martin.

Cs: Zjistili, že školník knihu našel už dávno, ale nemohl ji přečíst.

Cs: Chtěl ji vrátit, ale nevěděl jak, a tak ji schoval s úmyslem tajně vrátit.
En: He wanted to return it but didn't know how and so he hid it with the intention of secretly returning it.
Cs: Situace se vyjasnila a dvojice rychle přinesla knihu zpět do knihovny.
En: The situation became clear, and the pair quickly brought the book back to the library.
Cs: Na výstavu Dušiček byla kniha připravena včas.
En: The book was ready in time for the Dušičky exhibition.
Cs: Jarek a Zuzana byli odměněni uznáním spolužáků i učitelů.

Cs: Jarek si uvědomil, že týmová spolupráce může přinést úspěch, a konečně se cítil součástí školy.
