Cs: Podzimní vítr jemně šustí mezi listy, které pokrývají stezky Krkonoš.
En: The autumn wind gently rustles among the leaves covering the trails of the Krkonoš Mountains.
Cs: Karel a Mirek kráčejí bok po boku, oba zahalení v teplých bundách, jejich dýchání viditelné v chladném vzduchu.
En: Karel and Mirek walk side by side, both wrapped in warm jackets, their breath visible in the cold air.
Cs: Slunce se nesměle schovává za mraky, zatímco dva přátelé stoupají po známé cestě, kterou už mnohokrát prošli.
En: The sun shyly hides behind the clouds as the two friends ascend the familiar path they've traveled many times before.
Cs: Karel se zastaví a rozhlédne se.
En: Karel stops and looks around.
Cs: Tento kout světa má rád, krásné panorama hor, kterými se vinou cesty jako úzké švy.
En: He loves this corner of the world, the beautiful panorama of mountains, with paths winding through them like narrow seams.
Cs: V kapse drží dopis, který mnohokrát přepsal.

Cs: Na místě oblíbeného vyhlídkového místa, kde oba zůstávají stát a kochají se výhledem, Mirek překvapivě říká: "Víš, Karle, možná se brzy uvidíme méně často.
En: At their favorite lookout spot, where they both stand and marvel at the view, Mirek surprisingly says, "You know, Karle, we might not see each other as often soon.

Cs: Zamrazí ho v zádech, ale také cítí smutek.
En: A chill runs down his spine, but he also feels sadness.
Cs: Najednou se zdá, že by mohl dopis odložit na později, nebo ho snad vůbec nedat.
En: Suddenly, it seems he might put off giving the letter, or maybe not give it at all.
Cs: Mlčky cestují dál, až dorazí na samotný vrchol.
En: They travel silently onward until they reach the very top.
Cs: Dostává se jim pocitu úspěchu; pohled je zde ještě velkolepější.
En: They feel a sense of achievement; the view here is even more magnificent.
Cs: Mirek je nadšený a znovu pohlédne na Karla.
En: Mirek is thrilled and looks at Karel again.
Cs: "Je to úžasné, že jsem tu s tebou."
En: "It's amazing to be here with you."
Cs: Karel to ví.
En: Karel knows it.
Cs: Zde a nyní je pravý čas.
En: Here and now is the right time.
Cs: Pomalu vytáhne dopis a podá Mirkovi.
En: He slowly pulls out the letter and hands it to Mirek.
Cs: "Tohle je pro tebe, Mirek," říká téměř šeptem, ale jeho hlas je pevný.
En: "This is for you, Mirek," he says almost in a whisper, but his voice is firm.
Cs: "Prosím, přečti si to, až budeš sám."
En: "Please read it when you're alone."
Cs: Mirek si vezme dopis s úsměvem.
En: Mirek takes the letter with a smile.
Cs: "Díky, Karle.
En: "Thanks, Karle.
Cs: Určitě si to přečtu."
En: I'll definitely read it."
Cs: Sestupují z vrcholu, a každý krok je trochu lehčí.
En: They descend from the peak, and every step is a bit lighter.
Cs: Karel se usmívá v tichu přátelství, které se nyní zdá být silnější.
En: Karel smiles in the silence of a friendship that now seems stronger.
Cs: Naučil se, že někdy je jedinou cestou kupředu být otevřený a upřímný.
En: He has learned that sometimes the only way forward is to be open and honest.
Cs: A i když bude Mirek daleko, ví, že jejich pouto přetrvá.
En: And even though Mirek will be far away, he knows their bond will endure.
