Fi: Aurinko paistoi kirkkaasti yli Helsingin, kun keväisen päivän pehmeä tuuli kuljetti mukanaan iloa ja vappujuhlien ääniä.
En: The sun shone brightly over Helsinki as the gentle breeze of a spring day carried joy and the sounds of Vappu celebrations.
Fi: Kauppalan puisto oli täynnä väkeä.
En: The Kauppala park was filled with people.
Fi: Lapsiperheet nauttivat ilmapalloista ja serpentiineistä, ja sekoitus grillatun makkaran ja tuoreen siman tuoksua leijaili ilmassa.
En: Families with children enjoyed balloons and streamers, and the scent of grilled sausages and fresh sima wafted through the air.

Fi: Mutta…” hän piti tauon epäröiden, katsahti Mikkoa, "…olen myös oppinut, miten tärkeitä perheet ovat."
En: But..." she paused hesitantly, glancing at Mikko, "...I've also learned how important families are."
Fi: Mikko nosti katseensa, varuillaan.
En: Mikko looked up, cautiously.
Fi: Hän tiesi, että keskustelu voisi äkkiä mutkistua.
En: He knew that the conversation could suddenly become complicated.

En: Aino continued, "I understand that the lifestyle I've chosen isn't conventional, but it has been meaningful to me."
