Lv: Rīgas Valsts vidusskolā vasara bija pilnā plaukumā.
En: At Rīgas Valsts vidusskola, summer was in full bloom.
Lv: Skolas pagalms bija pilns ar smiekliem un prieku.
En: The school yard was filled with laughter and joy.
Lv: Marta, Ivars un Jānis sēdēja zem liela kastaņa, šķietami neinteresēti par notiekošo.
En: Marta, Ivars, and Jānis sat under a large chestnut tree, seemingly uninterested in what was happening.
Lv: Marta, ar saviem gaišajiem matiem, izskatījās īpaši domīga.
En: With her light hair, Marta looked particularly pensive.
Lv: "Nāciet, mums jāizdomā kaut kas nebijis," Marta sāka, satvert cerību dabūt zīmīgu vietu skolas vēsturē.

En: She explained it was just a joke, slightly nervous, likely caught red-handed.

En: The principal smiled.
Lv: "Saprotu, jūs gribat izklaidēties, bet kas būtu, ja to darāt citādi?
