Story Transcript:

Sk: V Bratislavskom lese, kde slnko presvitalo medzi zelenými listami a vrhalo svetlé škvrny na lesnú pôdu, sa začal deň plný dobrodružstva.
En: In the Bratislavskom forest, where the sun filtered through the green leaves and cast bright spots on the forest floor, a day full of adventure began.

Sk: Marek, amatérsky fotograf prírody, sa vydal do lesa s priateľmi Ivonou a Jozefom.
En: Marek, an amateur nature photographer, ventured into the woods with his friends Ivonou and Jozefom.

Sk: V srdci mal tajnú nádej.
En: In his heart, he held a secret hope.

Sk: Dnes chcel zachytiť fotografiu, akú ešte nikto nevidel - Lomnického šotek, známeho trikového ducha slovenských lesov.
En: Today he wanted to capture a photograph that no one had seen before - the Lomnického šotek, the well-known mischievous spirit of Slovak forests.

Sk: „Pozrite, niečo som videl!
En: "Look, I saw something!"

Sk: " zvolal Marek nadšene, keď sa ohlásil zvláštny šuchot z kríkov.
En: Marek exclaimed excitedly when an unusual rustling sounded from the bushes.

Sk: „Musí to byť on!
En: "It must be him!"

Sk: "Ivona a Jozef si vymenili skeptické pohľady.
En: Ivona and Jozef exchanged skeptical glances.

Sk: Vedeli, že Marek má živú fantáziu.
En: They knew Marek had a vivid imagination.

Sk: Les bol plný života - vtáky, kuny, líšky.
En: The forest was full of life - birds, martens, foxes.

Sk: Ale šotek?
En: But a goblin?

Sk: "Možno to bolo len veveričky, Marek," povedal Jozef so širokým úsmevom.
En: "Maybe it was just squirrels, Marek," said Jozef with a broad smile.

Sk: "Nie, nie, musíme to preskúmať," naliehal Marek.
En: "No, no, we must investigate this," pressed Marek.

Sk: A tak sa trojica vydala hlbšie do lesa, Marek vpredu, sledovaný stále pochybovačnejšími kamarátmi.
En: And so the trio ventured deeper into the forest, Marek in the lead, followed by his increasingly doubtful friends.

En: Along the way, they encountered several "signs" that Marek interpreted as traces of the goblin.

Sk: Vetvičky položené krížom, malé kamene v podivných tvaroch, všetko to bral ako jasné znamenia.
En: Twigs laid out in a cross, small stones in peculiar shapes, he took it all as clear signs.

Sk: "Šotek je blízko, som si istý!
En: "The goblin is close, I'm sure!"

Sk: " tvrdil.
En: he insisted.

En: Ivona sighed but allowed herself to be carried away by Marek's enthusiasm.

En: After all, it was an opportunity for a beautiful day in nature.

En: As the afternoon was nearly over and the sunlight began to fade, Marek stumbled upon a hole in the ground covered with forest mushrooms.

Sk: "Toto musí byť jeho brloh!
En: "This must be his lair!"

Sk: " zvolal vzrušene.
En: he exclaimed excitedly.

Sk: Sklonil sa a prstom ukazoval do otvoru.
En: He bent down and pointed inside the hole.

Sk: Ivona a Jozef sa priblížili.
En: Ivona and Jozef approached.

Sk: Zrazu, z malej diery vylezla skupinka veveričiek, nesúc lesklé predmety - zlaté fólie a kúsky hliníka, ktoré si zrejme nazbierali v lese.
En: Suddenly, a group of squirrels emerged from the small hole, carrying shiny objects - golden foils and pieces of aluminum, which they had apparently collected from the forest.

Sk: Marek ostal stáť s otvorenými ústami, zatiaľ čo Ivona a Jozef vybuchli do smiechu.
En: Marek stood with his mouth open, while Ivona and Jozef burst into laughter.

En: "Marek, I think you found the squirrels' treasures, not the goblin," Ivona said with a smile on her face.

Sk: Marek sa tiež začal smiať.
En: Marek also began to laugh.

Sk: "Možno máš pravdu," uznal s úsmevom.
En: "Maybe you're right," he admitted with a smile.

En: "But sometimes it's good to believe in magic, even if it's not real."

Sk: "Susedia si poobede užili prechádzku späť k začiatku lesa.
En: The friends enjoyed an afternoon walk back to the edge of the forest.

En: Marek learned to appreciate the unexpected beauties of nature, even without mythical creatures.

En: Finally, as the sun slowly disappeared over the horizon, Marek pressed the shutter on his camera and captured Ivona and Jozef laughing under the trees.

Sk: Bolo to dokonalé zakončenie dňa - bez šotka, ale s krásnymi priateľmi a nezabudnuteľnými momentmi.
En: It was a perfect end to the day - without the goblin, but with wonderful friends and unforgettable moments.
