Story Transcript:
Sk: V teplý letný deň vo štvrti Bratislavy, kde boli ulice plné vône kvitnúcich kvetov, sa nachádzala stará budova detského domova.
En: On a warm summer day in the Bratislava district, where the streets were filled with the scent of blooming flowers, there stood an old children's home building.
Sk: Deti sa smiali a hrali v záhrade, zatiaľ čo Marek, starostlivý opatrovateľ, sledoval všetko s úsmevom.
En: The children laughed and played in the garden, while Marek, a compassionate caregiver, watched over everything with a smile.
Sk: Jeho práca bola jeho vášňou.
En: His work was his passion.
Sk: Ale dnes mal neistotu a skrytý strach, ktorý poznal len on.
En: But today, he felt a sense of uncertainty and a hidden fear known only to him.
Sk: V tom čase vyšla Eva, malé dievčatko s kučeravými vlasmi, z budovy a pomaly sa priblížila k Marekovi.
En: At that moment, Eva, a little girl with curly hair, emerged from the building and slowly approached Marek.
En: Her eyes looked weak, and Marek immediately saw that something was wrong.
Sk: "Cítim sa zle," pošepla Eva so slabým hlasom.
En: "I don't feel well," Eva whispered in a faint voice.
Sk: Marek ju hneď objal a začal pociťovať, ako v ňom rastie úzkosť.
En: Marek embraced her immediately and began to feel anxiety growing within him.
En: Marek knew that Eva needed medical help, but his own fear of hospitals paralyzed him.
Sk: Pred mnohými rokmi stratil svojho blízkeho v nemocnici a odvtedy sa obával vstúpiť do akéhokoľvek nemocničného prostredia.
En: Many years ago, he lost a loved one in a hospital, and since then, he was afraid to enter any hospital environment.
Sk: "Potrebujeme doktora," povedal s odhodlaním v hlase, hoci vnútri sa bál.
En: "We need a doctor," he said with determination in his voice, even though he was afraid inside.
Sk: Deti z detského domova potrebovali, aby bol silný.
En: The children of the children's home needed him to be strong.
En: But how would he face his fear that had accompanied him for so long?
Sk: Jozef, starší chlapec, ktorý zvykol pomáhať Marekovi, uvidel Marekovu váhavosť.
En: Jozef, an older boy who used to help Marek, saw Marek's hesitation.
Sk: "Môžem ísť s Evou," navrhol.
En: "I can go with Eva," he suggested.
En: But Marek knew that it was his duty.
En: He had to take care of the children, even if it required overcoming his fear.
Sk: Nastala chvíľa, kedy si musel vybrať.
En: A moment arrived when he had to choose.
Sk: Marek sa zhlboka nadýchol.
En: Marek took a deep breath.
Sk: "Nie, ja pôjdem s tebou, Eva," povedal nakoniec hlasno, aby nikto nepočul jeho vnútorný boj.
En: "No, I'll go with you, Eva," he finally said loudly, so no one would hear his internal struggle.
En: He felt how the pain of the past turned into a new source of strength.
Sk: O niekoľko minút neskôr už boli spolu s Evou na ceste do nemocnice.
En: A few minutes later, they were together on their way to the hospital.
Sk: Marek držal Evu za ruku a upokojoval ju, kým cestovali.
En: Marek held Eva's hand and comforted her as they traveled.
En: He felt how his own fear faded with Eva by his side, as if they were standing against it together.
Sk: V nemocnici sa Eva dostala do rúk skúseným lekárom.
En: At the hospital, Eva was placed in the hands of experienced doctors.
En: Marek stood by her, encouraging her that everything would be alright.
En: After several hours, Eva finally left with a smile on her face, feeling better, and Marek was by her side.
Sk: Keď sa vrátili do detského domova, deti ich vítali s úľavou.
En: When they returned to the children's home, the children welcomed them with relief.
Sk: Marek si uvedomil, že prekonal niečo dôležité.
En: Marek realized that he had overcome something significant.
En: His fear of hospitals had given way to his love for the children and his will to care for them.
En: From that day on, Marek knew that anyone can overcome their fears if they have a reason to do so.
En: The children in the home felt his newfound courage, and Marek realized that he could confront the past and transform it into something strong and positive.
Sk: Vtedy pochopil pravú podstatu starostlivosti, ktorá vie prekonať akýkoľvek strach.
En: It was then that he understood the true essence of care, which can overcome any fear.
