Sk: Jarné slnko jemne presvecovalo do okien nemocnice.
En: The spring sun gently shone through the hospital windows.
Sk: Čerstvý vzduch nesúc jarný chlad a vôňu rozkvitnutých kvetov sa miešal s ostrým zápachom dezinfekcie.
En: Fresh air, carrying the spring chill and the scent of blooming flowers, mingled with the sharp smell of disinfectant.
Sk: Nemocničné chodby boli ozdobené pastelovými veľkonočnými vajíčkami visiacimi z podhľadov, farebné girlandy sa ľahko hojdali, no na Jánovu náladu to nemalo žiadny vplyv.
En: The hospital corridors were decorated with pastel Easter eggs hanging from the ceilings, and colorful garlands swung lightly, but it had no effect on Ján's mood.
Sk: Posadil sa na chladnú stoličku v čakárni, napätý srdcom a tienistou myslou.
En: He sat on the cold chair in the waiting room, tense with heavy heart and shadowy mind.

En: Words weren't enough for him.
Sk: Hlavu mal plnú myšlienok a výčitiek.
En: His head was full of thoughts and regrets.
Sk: Zhlboka sa nadýchol.
En: He took a deep breath.
Sk: Rozhodol sa, že keď Petra vyjde z operačnej sály, postaví sa čelom svojmu pocitu viny a požiada ju o odpustenie.
En: He resolved that when Petra came out of the operating room, he would face his guilt and ask her for forgiveness.
Sk: Dvere operačnej sály sa otvorili.
En: The doors of the operating room opened.
Sk: Z nich vyšiel chirurg, jeho výraz bol neutrálny, ale nádej bol v každom jeho kroku.
En: A surgeon emerged, his expression was neutral, but hope was in every step he took.
Sk: Ján vyskočil, srdce mu prudko bilo.
En: Ján jumped up, his heart pounding.
Sk: "Pán Kováč," chirug sa obrátil k Jánovi s úsmevom.
En: "Mr. Kováč," the surgeon turned to Ján with a smile.
Sk: "Petra sa prebrala z operácie a všetko prebehlo úspešne.
En: "Petra has woken up from the surgery, and everything went successfully.
Sk: Urobí plné zotavenie.
En: She will make a full recovery."
Sk: "Ján vydýchol.
En: Ján exhaled.
Sk: Pocítil, ako by z neho spadol kameň.
En: He felt as if a weight had been lifted off him.
Sk: "Ďakujem," povedal, jeho hlas bol tichý, ale plný úľavy.
En: "Thank you," he said, his voice quiet but full of relief.
Sk: Neskôr v miestnosti, kde ležala Petra, vstúpil Ján s obavami.
En: Later in the room where Petra lay, Ján entered with apprehension.
Sk: Jej oči sa pomaly pootvárali.
En: Her eyes slowly opened.
Sk: "Petra," jemne vyslovil.
En: "Petra," he gently uttered.
Sk: Ona sa na neho pozrela, v očiach žiaril zmier a pochopenie.
En: She looked at him, peace and understanding shining in her eyes.
Sk: "Ján," povedala slabým hlasom, "viem, že si sa vinil.
En: "Ján," she said weakly, "I know you've been blaming yourself.
Sk: Ale nezabúdaj, že nehody sa stávajú.
En: But remember, accidents happen.
Sk: Odpúšťam ti.
En: I forgive you."
Sk: "Vtedy Ján pochopil, že odpustenie je dar, ktorý mu bol daný, a zároveň sa naučil, že musí odpustiť aj sám sebe.
En: It was then that Ján understood that forgiveness was a gift he had been given, and he also learned that he had to forgive himself.
Sk: Oni sa objali, a napriek všetkému, co sa stalo, boli teraz bližšie ako kedykoľvek predtým.
En: They embraced, and despite everything that had happened, they were now closer than ever before.
Sk: Vonku, v nemocničnej záhrade, kvitli jarné kvety a slnko ohrievalo každý kúsok zeme.
En: Outside, in the hospital garden, spring flowers bloomed, and the sun warmed every bit of the earth.
Sk: Život bol krehký, ale nádherný a plný nádeje na nový začiatok.
En: Life was fragile but beautiful and full of hope for a new beginning.
