Sk: Hory boli tiché.
En: The mountains were silent.
Sk: Len vietor šepkal medzi stromami.
En: Only the wind whispered among the trees.
Sk: Marek, Jana a Zuzana kráčali po úzkej cestičke v Tatrách.
En: Marek, Jana, and Zuzana walked along a narrow path in the Tatry.
Sk: Slnko svietilo na ich tváre, ale čierne oblaky sa približovali rýchlo.
En: The sun shone on their faces, but dark clouds approached quickly.
Sk: Búrka sa blížila.
En: A storm was coming.
Sk: Marek, skúsený turistický sprievodca, viedol skupinu.
En: Marek, an experienced tour guide, led the group.
Sk: Jeho srdce bilo rýchlejšie, lebo mal tajnú obavu z búrok.
En: His heart beat faster because he had a secret fear of storms.

Sk: "Mali by sme sa vrátiť," povedal Marek.

En: But Zuzana didn't listen.
Sk: "Ešte chvíľku," prosila, "chcem tú fotku."
En: "Just a little longer," she pleaded, "I want that photo."
Sk: Marek vedel, že búrka je nebezpečná.
En: Marek knew the storm was dangerous.
Sk: Ale Zuzanin nadšený výraz ho zmiatol.
En: But Zuzana's enthusiastic expression confused him.
Sk: Vietor silnel a dážď začínal padať.
En: The wind grew stronger, and rain began to fall.
Sk: Cesta bola klzká.
En: The path was slippery.
Sk: "Poďme!" snažil sa Marek presvedčiť svoju partiu.
En: "Let's go!" Marek tried to persuade his group.
Sk: Zuzana odložila fotoaparát, ale stále váhala.
En: Zuzana put down the camera but still hesitated.
Sk: Práve vtedy blesk zasiahol neďaleký strom.
En: Just then, lightning struck a nearby tree.
Sk: Oheň.
En: Fire.
Sk: Zápach dymu.
En: The smell of smoke.
Sk: Marekov strach prerástol všetkých, ale musel konať.
En: Marek's fear outweighed everything, but he had to act.
Sk: Pustil sa do akcie.
En: He sprang into action.
Sk: "Pod tým veľkým skalným previsom hľadajme úkryt!" zakričal nad hučaním vetra.
En: "Let's find shelter under that large rock overhang!" he shouted over the roaring wind.
Sk: Deti stromov šumeli a skaly ponúkali útočisko.
En: The leaves of the trees rustled and the rocks offered shelter.

En: That's where they hid and waited.
Sk: Búrka zúrila, ale boli v bezpečí.

Sk: Každý mal svoju malú výhru.
En: Everyone had their little victory.
Sk: Strach a neistotu nahradilo priateľstvo a pocit nového začiatku.
En: Fear and uncertainty were replaced by friendship and a sense of a new beginning.
