Sk: „Tých schodov je veľa,“ povzdychla si Helena, ale Marek ju silno chytil za ruku a usmieval sa.
En: “There are so many stairs,” sighed Helena, but Marek gripped her hand firmly and smiled.

Sk: Vonku kvitli kvety a vzduch bol naplnený vôňou sviežosti, čo dodávalo Marekovi odvahu.
En: Outside, flowers bloomed and the air was filled with the scent of freshness, which gave Marek courage.

Sk: „Nepustia ma hlasovať,“ zašepkala, pohľadom upretým na zem.
En: “They won't let me vote,” she whispered, her gaze fixed on the ground.

Sk: Marek sa však nebál.
En: But Marek was undeterred.

Sk: Prešiel k jednému z úradníkov a vyložil im situáciu.
En: He approached one of the officials and explained the situation.

Sk: „Moja mama si vždy veľmi vážila právo voliť.
En: "My mother has always greatly valued the right to vote.

Sk: Mohli by ste nám.
En: Could you...?"

Sk: “ začal Marek.
En: Marek started.

Sk: Úradníčka sa usmiala, pochopila význam situácie a rýchlo pomohla.
En: The official smiled, understood the importance of the situation, and quickly helped.

En: Soon enough, Helena was holding the ballot firmly.

Sk: Usmiala sa na svojho syna.
