Sk: Marek sedel na lavičke v záhrade internátu Svätého Juraja.
En: Marek sat on the bench in the garden of Svätého Juraja dormitory.
Sk: Bolo neskoré jaro a vzduch vonial sladko po kvetoch.
En: It was late spring, and the air smelled sweetly of flowers.
Sk: Stará budova sa majestátne dvíhala nad ním, jej múry rozprávali príbehy minulých generácií.
En: The old building rose majestically above him, its walls telling stories of past generations.
Sk: Eva sa k nemu pripojila s energickým úsmevom.
En: Eva joined him with an energetic smile.
Sk: „Marek!
En: "Marek!"
Sk: “ zavolala, „Poď, ideme nakupovať!
En: she called out, "Come on, let's go shopping!

En: They offered various styles there, from classic to extravagant.
Sk: Eva už vedela, čo hľadá.
En: Eva already knew what she was looking for.
Sk: „Toto!
En: "This!"
Sk: “ vykríkla a vytiahla žiarivo žltú bundu s modrými pruhmi.
En: she exclaimed, pulling out a bright yellow jacket with blue stripes.
Sk: „Toto ti padne ako uliate.
En: "This will fit you like a glove."
Sk: “Marek neochotne zvážil bundičku.
En: Marek reluctantly considered the jacket.
Sk: Vedel, že je o niečo odvážnejšia, než si predstavil.
En: He knew it was a bit bolder than he had imagined.
Sk: „Nie je to príliš výrazné?
En: "Isn't it too flashy?"
Sk: “ opýtal sa, držajúc bundičku pred sebou.

Sk: „Práve preto je to tá pravá voľba,“ presviedčala ho Eva.

Sk: “Po dlhšom premýšľaní Marek súhlasil.
En: After some deliberation, Marek agreed.
Sk: V piatok večer, ako sa tma začala usadzovať, pridal sa k ostatným študentom pri internáte.
En: On Friday evening, as darkness began to settle, he joined the other students at the dormitory.
Sk: S bundičkou na sebe sa cítil najskôr rozpačito, ale pohlcoval odvahu z Evineho úsmevu.
En: With the jacket on, he initially felt awkward, but he drew courage from Eva's smile.
Sk: Keď konečne vstúpil do tanečnej siene, všetko okolo neho ožilo.

Sk: „Vieš, Eva, možno niečo na tom odvahe je,“ priznal sa s úsmevom.
En: "You know, Eva, maybe there's something to this courage," he admitted with a smile.
Sk: Eva sa zazubil.

Sk: „Vždy som to vravela!
