Sl: Tromostovje je sijalo v mehki svetlobi jesenskega sonca.
En: Tromostovje glowed in the soft light of the autumn sun.
Sl: Bilo je Martinovanje in ulice Ljubljane so bile polne veselih ljudi.
En: It was Martinovanje, and the streets of Ljubljana were full of happy people.
Sl: Na stojnicah so ponujali kuhano vino in pečene kostanje, kar je zrak napolnilo s toplino kljub hladnemu jesenskemu dnevu.
En: At the stalls, they offered hot wine and roasted chestnuts, filling the air with warmth despite the cold autumn day.
Sl: Jure je stal na mostu in opazoval množico.
En: Jure stood on the bridge and watched the crowd.
Sl: Bil je živčen.
En: He was nervous.

Sl: Jure je hitro spregovoril.
En: Jure quickly spoke.
Sl: "Tanja, ljubezen mojega življenja, bi se poročila z mano?
En: "Tanja, the love of my life, would you marry me?"
Sl: " Glas mu je tresel.
En: His voice shook.
Sl: Napetost je visela v zraku.
En: Tension hung in the air.
Sl: Čas se je ustavil.
En: Time stood still.
Sl: Nato je Tanja podaljšala roko, da bi pritisnila dlan na usta.
En: Then Tanja extended her hand to press her palm to her mouth.
Sl: Solze so ji stekle po licih, a nasmehnila se je.
En: Tears streamed down her cheeks, but she smiled.

En: "Yes," she answered quietly.

En: Jure breathed easier, stood up, and gently embraced her.

En: Later, as they walked through Ljubljana, now with engagement rings, Jure turned to Tanja.
Sl: "Žal mi je, če sem te spravil v neroden položaj.
En: "I'm sorry if I put you in an awkward position."
Sl: "Tanja se je nasmehnila in pritisnila njegov roko k svojemu srcu.
En: Tanja smiled and pressed his hand to her heart.

En: Both realized how precious their quiet, shared moments were.
Sl: Jure je stiskal Tanjo bližje k sebi, hvaležen za ljubezen, ki jo imata.
En: Jure held Tanja closer to him, grateful for the love they shared.
Sl: V množici, ki je praznovala Martinovanje, sta našla svoj mir.
En: In the crowd celebrating Martinovanje, they found their peace.
