Story Transcript:
Sl: Matej se je s Petrom sprehajal po obali Blejskega jezera.
En: Matej was taking a walk with Petra along the shore of Blejsko jezero.
Sl: Jesenski čas je bil čaroben.
En: The autumn season was magical.
Sl: Listje je sijalo v rdečih, oranžnih in zlatih barvah.
En: The leaves glowed in red, orange, and golden colors.
Sl: Nad jezerom je bilo spokojno tiho.
En: Above the lake, it was peacefully quiet.
Sl: V zraku je bil vonj po svežem listju in rahlo je hladilo.
En: There was a scent of fresh leaves in the air, and it was slightly cool.
Sl: Sredi jezera je ležal otoček z majhno cerkvico, ki se je zrcalila v vodi.
En: In the middle of the lake lay a small island with a little church, which reflected in the water.
Sl: Matej se je ustavil.
En: Matej stopped.
Sl: "Glej, Petra," je navdušeno rekel.
En: "Look, Petra," he said excitedly.
Sl: "Kaj praviš, da poskusiva priveslati tja?
En: "What do you say we try rowing there?"
Sl: " Petra je nekoliko dvomljivo pogledala svetlikajočo se gladino.
En: Petra glanced somewhat doubtfully at the shimmering surface.
Sl: "Ne vem, Matej.
En: "I don't know, Matej.
Sl: Nisem še nikoli veslala," je previdno dejala.
En: I've never rowed before," she said cautiously.
Sl: Matej se je nasmehnil.
En: Matej smiled.
Sl: "Jaz tudi ne, ampak to bo zabavno!
En: "Neither have I, but it will be fun!
Sl: Imela bova piknik na otočku!
En: We'll have a picnic on the island!"
Sl: " Petra je zavzdihnila, vendar nasmejana prikimala.
En: Petra sighed but nodded, smiling.
Sl: "Prav," je rekla.
En: "Alright," she said.
Sl: Najela sta čoln in se usedla vanj.
En: They rented a boat and sat in it.
Sl: Matej je samozavestno prijel vesla.
En: Matej confidently took the oars.
Sl: Petra je sedla nasproti, držala je majhno košaro s hrano.
En: Petra sat opposite him, holding a small basket of food.
Sl: "Samo previdno," je rekla.
En: "Just be careful," she said.
Sl: Matej je začel veslati.
En: Matej started rowing.

En: The boat stirred but didn’t move straight.

En: With combined efforts, they gathered themselves.

En: After a few unsuccessful attempts, they managed to synchronize their rowing.
Sl: Čoln se je začel premikati naravnost proti otoku.
En: The boat began moving straight toward the island.
Sl: Petra je dajala napotke, Matej pa jih je sledil.
En: Petra gave directions, and Matej followed them.
